Project 1912 - My First Pattern

I received instructions today for my first pattern for VPLL 1912 Project.  I am so excited.  I feel like I picked the one thing that wouldn't be so difficult that I would get discouraged.  It is a child's apron, sounds simple enough, right?  I sure hope so.  If you click on the link you can see what I will be working on.  I think I am going to make it out of muslin.  Although I have two "models" of my own that would love to wear it.  Maybe I should make two.

Vintage Pattern Lending Library 1912 Project - The Beginning

Yesterday I received my July 2012 issue of Threads Magazine.  On page 76 was an article about helping to test vintage patterns.  So I hopped on over to the 1912 Project blog VPLL1912Project.org and signed up.  The Vintage Pattern Lending Library (VPLL) is looking for people to test and share their experiences recreating garments from 1912.  This project will help provide patterns of garments lost when the Titanic was lost 100 years ago.  I am so excited to do this and I will be posting my progress here on my blog.  I wonder what project I will complete first?
